4 mesh woven wire mesh has 4 wires to every inch in each direction. Our main 4 mesh is 1.5mm wire with a 4.85mm aperture, which gives 58% open area. We also stock 1.6mm wire with a 4.75mm aperture (56% open). We keep it in stainless steel 316, in full 2440 x 1220mm sheets. Stock sheets go out on next working day delivery anywhere in the UK.

4 mesh woven wire mesh has 4 wires to every inch in each direction. Our main 4 mesh is 1.5mm wire with a 4.85mm aperture, which gives 58% open area. We also stock 1.6mm wire with a 4.75mm aperture (56% open). We keep it in stainless steel 316, in full 2440 x 1220mm sheets. Stock sheets go out on next working day delivery anywhere in the UK.
What does mesh count mean?
Mesh count is the number of wires in one inch (25.4mm), so 4 mesh has a pitch of 6.35mm from the centre of one wire to the next. The aperture is the clear gap between the wires: the pitch less the wire diameter.
