About 3015M
3015M is raised expanded mild steel with a 30.5 x 11.7mm diamond and 2.36mm strands, giving 60% open area. We keep it in stock, 1.6mm thick, in 2440 x 1220mm sheets.
Flattened or raised?
Raised expanded metal is left as it comes off the expanding press, so the strands sit at an angle to the sheet. Flattened expanded metal is rolled after expanding, so the strands lie flat and the sheet has a smooth surface. 3015M is raised.
What do LWD and SWD mean?
LWD is the long way of the diamond and SWD is the short way, both measured centre to centre. The strand is the width of the metal between the openings.
