How to read a pattern code

RRound hole. R5 is a 5mm round hole.
CSquare hole. C10 is a 10mm square hole.
LRSlotted hole. LR3x20 is a 3mm x 20mm slot.
TStaggered pitch at 60°. T8 means the holes are 8mm apart, centre to centre.
USquare or in-line pitch. U15 means the holes are 15mm apart in straight rows.
%Open area: how much of the sheet is holes. More open area lets more light, air and water through.

Should I choose 304 or 316?

Go with the grade your drawing or specification asks for. If it doesn’t say, give us a call on 0117 963 4579 and we’ll talk it through with you.

Can you cut perforated sheet to size?

Yes. We guillotine sheets to size here in Bristol while you wait, and we can fold, roll and fabricate panels, guards and trays to your drawing.

What sheet sizes do you stock?

Standard sheets are 2000 x 1000mm (2m x 1m), 2500 x 1250mm and 3000 x 1500mm. Each pattern page shows which thickness and sheet size combinations are on the shelf.

How quickly can I get it?

Stock sheets go out on next working day delivery anywhere in the UK. Sizes marked “To order” are usually ready in 5-7 days.

Can you make a pattern or size that isn’t listed?

Often, yes. Send us your drawing or tell us the hole size, pitch, thickness and quantity and we’ll let you know what we can do.
